As a new company exposure is everything to us, alongside networking and publications, social media is a great way for us to reach potential new clients, employees and partners, and gain instant feedback. We use social media currently to share our processes, work, news and open positions. As well as this our social platforms add another point of contact for us to grow our network and be a more visible brand in the industry.
Social media allows us to understand our audiences through the use of analytics, we can then tailor or posts, themes, and scheduling to suit these audiences to gain the most interaction. Now social media spans many different platforms and media types and research has proven that a combination of video and ephemeral content has the most return on investment. Currently we have the facilities and equipment to be able to complete short videos and photos which we upload to Facebook and Instagram but we are looking to rapidly grow into video and YouTube to increase our engagement. Facebook and youtube are still the most widely used platforms in 2020 with between 88% and 64% of people aged 18-64 using social media platforms and of that up to 75% visiting the sites once a day. This proves that social media is an effective way to reach both potential employees and clients, using correct demographic input. Sometimes we have allected information to be promoted either through publications like RIBA Journal or on our social media channels. We have found that on average Facebook advertisements in the UK within our sector cost on average £1.50 per click making it an effective and affordable way of promotion.
Looking forward Atelier Regolith aims to expand into video methods of social media and potentially work with influencers to develop the recognition of our brand. With this increase in social media usage and engagement not only will we be able to benefit from instantaneous feedback, we will be able to keep up to date with market trends, and our search engine ranking will increase.
