HYBRID HOUSING
Hybrid Housing with an element of a Library zone
This design is a combination of a housing element and a library element. The library term is taken loosely as a borrowing space for tools and other equipment that residents can pay a small fee to borrow. The housing element works to support those in the LGBTQ+ community and to create a centre for those who feel like they are not supported to come and relax in the quiet reading zones, or to chat with other members of the community.

This concept takes representation in the parallel lines used in the design. Each line does not stand alone, but is paired with another.

This is to represent how those in the LGBTQ+ community do not stand alone but are supported by those that use the building, as it is a safe space for those who identify as any part of this community for them to be who they are.
