Atelier Regolith
Contextual Architects
Müge Karatas
Partner + Marketing Director
Alongside our directors, both my RIBA part 1 and 2 qualifications were completed at Nottingham Trent University. During my year in practice sandwiched between Part 1 and 2, I was granted the opportunity to work with BIG Architects. Developing my abilities with a dynamic team who passionately value hand-sketching and diagrammatic work allowed me to gain the skills I implement into our architectural work, even today. As a primal-longing firm, Atelier Regolith is proud to emphasise the importance of physical modelling, hand-drawings and diagrammatic work, with a 'masterplanet' plan to redesign Earth and stop climate change.
During the completion of my final qualification, I made time to experience views on architecture, landscaping and urban planning within the city of Istanbul, where cultural views greatly differed from cities across England. There, I spared the time to volunteer to set blueprints for areas located across the nation of Turkey, where I faced and successfully overcame obstacles regarding the geology due to the significant variation that I was usually acquainted with in the U.K. The excursions throughout my architectural journey advocated me to arrive to the idea of what our company stands for today. Collectively, we're able to form the extraordinary work Atelier Regolith accomplish.
