Final Week

Topics discussed in the weekly meeting and tasks complete:

Sorted the general layout of the website, primarily the main bar at the top of the website. Müge, removed the ‘news’ tab that was made of two sub-headings: ‘our posts’ and ‘our future’ because there was unnecessary repetition across the site. Under our ‘business plan’ our future views and plans are already covered and blogs outline our posts and what we are currently up to anyway.

Portfolio section redesigned:

Template is set for all other members of the team. Müge sent them example videos and guidelines on our personal group chat for them to follow. The design, layout, transitions etc are all chosen and set by her to make sure there is consistency across the whole site when it comes to design and layout. All partners then edited these pages infilling the template Müge had laid out to create a cohesive look throughout our portfolio and projects.

Instagram and Facebook:

Facebook updated: the banner is chosen, bio is set, website is linked, Instagram is merged and opening/closure times adjusted (clients can contact us within those times). What I need to do: add address of our firm.

Instagram: posts drafted and every 2/3 days I post a photo, form captions that suit each post, edit photographs on Adobe Spark and update Instagram stories to reach more clients. Also produced a ‘highlights’ series for the stories posted so followers don’t miss out on these. Keeping interactive with social media is an important element of marketing.

All partners took the opportunity to gain extra media for our site and social pages these took the form of time lapse, video, photo and diagrams including an opportunity to get a full team photo.

Home page: Photographs are all from the team or stock images therefore no copyright is in place. All made black and white for consistency and finally aligned together.

Finances are all completed and added to the finance section and Miro board though easily represented and colour coded diagrams

Policies have been uploaded to subpages accessible through the policies heading in the business plan as well as a downloadable PDF document including a detailed analysis and part plan to fulfil them.

The business plan is complete with all subsections and is linked throughout the website in connection to the plan and ethos. All areas of the website are now working and presentable on mobile and desktop.

Ben; “In the final week our work has stepped up, although we had planned out our tasks throughout the time period we had not accounted for all the tasks, adjustments, feedback, and iterations of our websites and work. We have extended the amount of time we allocate per week to ensure that the project was finished to the quality standard we wanted and illustrated all our process in setting up our practice. I feel that myself, Bee, Borna, and Müge have created a cohesive practice that follows the values and ethos through all stages including design approach, business plan, marketing, and finance. We have ensured that we have finished the project in the same way we approach our designs with constant feedback, development, and change to ensure everything we did was correct and to the high quality we have strived for”.
