Joshua Jones

About Me

Joshua joined Pacha Studios after finishing his post-graduate studies as an architect in 2027. He has been a Director of the company since its founding in 2027, deploying his skills at stitching new buildings alongside sensitive heritage assets, whether adjacent nationally designated assets or more loosely located in and around historic urban or landscape fabric. He runs projects from inception to completion alongside managing the Social Media and Marketing aspects of the company. He is responsible for the design and delivery of often complex and bespoke projects and has a deep and fluent understanding of the demands of working with the practice. He believes Architecture should blend creativity with sensitivity to its setting along with making a sense of place. He is an evangelist for finding new value and uses for old buildings; for allowing new and contemporary architecture a place alongside beloved older fabric and for weighing a fine balance between the cultural value embodied in our oldest artefacts and their continued financial visibility – going by the mantra that ‘heritage must remain useful and relevant’. He fosters a strong team ethic within Pacha Studios and believes successful projects come through collaboration.

Parallel to his professional career, he continues to pursue cultural, educational, and charitable activities as Founding Trustee of The Jones Foundation, a registered UK charitable Trust. Having also undertaken work in his local constituency and Parliament, Joshua has a thirst for politics and a keen interest in debating, notably for his work on the lack of political connection to the required changes in policies surrounding local councils and sustainable housing initiatives, with an endgame ambition of becoming a Member of Parliament. Joshua divides his time with his family between homes in in Sandhurst, Berkshire with his wife, twelve children and two dogs, and his combined home/studio near Tuscany in the rural blinds of Italy.
