Sharaaz Ahmed

RIBA graduate Dr Sharaaz-Yusuf Ahmed is a very experienced architect who has been working for Pacha Studio for well over 10 years. Having worked alongside with his Aunt Zaha Hadid, Sharaaz’s creativity is limitless designing buildings that majority of architect’s cannot even think of. The continuous focus on sustainability is only getting better and more affordable as Sharaaz designs for all communities and tries his best make his work affordable for everyone. Having adopted 5 children Sharaaz loves to make sure that all his work will work just as well further down the line as it does now. Alongside architecture, Sharaaz has a major passion for cars. However, the time we live in means that Sharaaz can not enjoy due to the pollution and unsustainable aspects of cars and architecture. To resolve this Sharaaz aims to use as much sustainable methods as possible so that he can reduce the carbon footprint within his designs. It is stated that vehicles and buildings have a similar input to global Co2 emissions buildings which is 40% of global emissions. To reduce this Sharaaz designs his building to use natural resources such as wind and water to produce energy and use less Co2 emitting energy. If every architect was to do this, it will make a huge impact as 11% of the 40% global Co2 emissions are from construction.
